And Lachlan's idea of a Seaton Park parkrun died a death as he works most Saturdays, and it would've been too many laps.

Atria, please - Arya might attract the wrong types ;-)

Good news anyway, apart from the name and probably the course.

Was looking at the Scottish Athletics calendar - the Stirling 10K is ON! A week on Sunday. (September 12th). Only 500 places, still around 140 left. Think it's too soon for me though :-/

(Although I could also have found it in the Fetch race directory :-) )

PS Carluke 10K, generally one of the less populous races, is also on: September 26th. Same day as the sold out Lithgae 10K.

Stirling is the Scottish Championship, an absolute speedfest.

Which reminds me, I offered to volunteer & haven’t heard anything.

What like is the Carluke 10k Dv? Flat, undulating or mountainous ?

ps Linlithgow must have released more places (800 in total now) as it's been open again for entries, down to the final 2 as I write

I have never got round to doing Stirling 10k and not sure why. Anyway, its too soon for me also although I did dip my toes in with York Parkrun last weekend where I surprised myself with a 21:45.

Tomorrow my son (25) has agreed to make his Parkrun debut and so I will make my first appearance at Cramond since the restart. I think he has agreed to target 21:45 and I suspect he hasnt gone before as he doesnt want to finish behind his old Dad. He doesnt know this yet but barring unforeseen circumstances tomorrow, I will pace to 21:45 but he will finish ahead of me :-)
