Why does it seem like we all are applying ancient with a lot more ease to ourselves than other objects :-p

Like the grave, surrounded by lush growth. Not a bad way to lay down at the end.

The old part of the cemetery is managed as a nature reserve and is beautiful *goes off to find another photo*

That is lovely.
We would not want a gravestone, but if others placed us under one and it was somewhere like that, well we would certainly not complain. :-)

Stunning. I fancy cremation and scattering somewhere wild but like the Creature if I was to end up interred then a place like that as a final resting spot would be cool

That's lovely minardi

Having struggled with the meaning of ancient, I just went for old in the end

A skill

A monument

This commemorates the great flood of Holmfirth in 1852. 81 people lost their lives, and over 50 buildings were destroyed including 4 mills. A reservoir up valley burst its banks overnight.
The plaque you can see half way up the tower indicates the height of the waters that night

Ancient megalithic standing stone, Crow Hill, Bramcote Hills park. Can't find any background, but it lies half a mile from my house in some old earthworks next to the Leisure Centre. 1771 is carved on the side, just about legible.
