LD, making it worse to make it better doesn't sound right to me for an injury. That's more or less what I understand from regular training (hence why you get sore and stiff) but I don't think you should further damage an injury.

If itโ€™s the back of knee injury I once had the only thing which worked was low impact stuff and avoiding anything which aggravated it until it stopped hurting. Listen to your body!

Hot river run. Disgustingly sweaty now. I keep getting an Achilles niggle when I first get started then it usually disappears. Lots of run walking doesnโ€™t seem to make it worse so Iโ€™ll continue :)

Treadmill attempt immediately aborted as the ankle is definitely not ready. I replaced my 5 x 5 min run session for 5 x 5 min rowing. I was not "fast" but I was quite steady and broke a sweat. I had the podcast for company and discovered the rowing machine has games of fishing and darts. Fishing is more fun but probably not as good a workout as you keep varying pace to catch the fish. Darts requires a consistent pace.

If you've no idea what I'm on about, then you are probably having a better day than me. Rowing is boring.

Art'noon. Hope those with ouches can be back running soon.

A nice wander today, although we went to an antique centre that's only just reopened and needed face masks so we couldn't go in. It was OK though, we got some cake from the cafe at the back. I've must made a hanger for keys and fscemasks to remind us to bring them when we go out.

Lovely photos Som!

The riding doesn't seem to have made any difference one way or the other so I'll take that as a 'yes' to cycling. My goodness it was hot though :-0

But it was lovely to sit and chat in son's garden. He has worked so hard to transform it from just developer's turfed blank canvas into quite a little oasis.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
