Morning :)

Unexpected snow day :) - we haven't had much, but the pavements and school site are really icy. I guess staff who can't walk in are stuck elsewhere too. Very surprised - we never close!
Of course I still have to go to school - don't know if anyone else will remember to feed and water the chickens.

Morning :-)
Look after those chooks, RH, friend of mine's froze to death in this :-(
Couple more cms overnight, but nothing major. Hoping the fact that it's March will mean that it disappears a bit during the day!
Sending warm hugs to Carp and RRRRrrrrrrr

Morning :-)

Keep warm those with heating issues

Off to try and catch a train shortly, it won't take much for me to declare a snow day and come back home again.

Hugs to Meg and those without boilers.

Think I might do some yoga later.

Morning :)

I'm not leaving the house today, we had freezing rain from last evening, everywhere's frozen and treacherous and I won't become another statistic. I was listening to reports of people stuck on trains and roads for 14 hours last night.....

Take care if you have to go out folks and I feel for you poor souls with dodgy boilers. :(

first chicken trip done. roads okay apart from the ones on the estate.

I've put the waterer sitting on polystyrene into a 3 sided box and packed it around with straw - hopefully it won't freeze up completely again. Luckily I'd taken water with me as all the buildings are locked up and the outside tap is frozen.
I'll have to buy some more food if it's all locked up again tomorrow. Bloody good job I have a key to the back gate - as they'd have been cooped up without food or water until goodness knows when if I didn't!
Will have to go buy some food if I can't get inside tomorrow - usually on a Friday we leave the tub close by to use over the weekend. Of course it's still locked in my prep-room. I may just let myself in and see how long it takes the caretaker to respond to the alarms though ;)

the deepest one I've seen so far today has been about 18 inches.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
