Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

At my desk, coffee and porridge, just looked at the clock to see it's only 8:30, feels later than that.

Breakfast. It looks lovely out. Washing on.

GWS Beanie.

Counties didn't have flags when I grew up.

Correct Pedro

Apparently it’s a great bustard… not that it’s done anything to me personally

[The bustard made an unscheduled appearance in the latest 'Deathmatch' because of an unintended typo.]

I recognised it was a great bustard, birds which used to inhabit Salisbury plain until they were hunted out of existence, therefore I guessed it was Wiltshire’s flag. I read about them in a novel when I was much younger.

If you’ve hunted something to extinction, surely you don’t then get to use it on your flag!

Cleaning up the holiday home before leaving. I get a bit obsessive about leaving it like we’ve never even been.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
