I saw 4 teeny, tiny ducklings this morning. Also saw the other day that the little egret is back in it's usual spot in the river now the water's subsided.

Still waiting willow warbler here and only heard one blackcap. Not even many chiffchaff about yet. Typically might hear three or four during two mile local dog walk. Daft as it sounds I used to see a lot of birds while I was out traveling for work and I’m missing out with wfh

Swallows have been seen in good numbers within five miles of where I live at the various lakes..groups of 35 and more. I haven't seen one though.

An otter has turned up in town again. Saw it haul a lamprey or eel out of the water yesterday. 12 photographers spotted at lunchtime on the lookout for another appearance.
The cold weather has been keeping things a bit quiet on the bird front in this part of Scotland.

Some fantastic pictures on that link HowFar? The petrel is my favourite. It looks almost like a dinosaur.

Gorgeous LTT photo!
Warbler joy for me today, starting with hearing (but, alas, not seeing, so no tick) a chiffchaff in my garden this morning, continuing with hearing, and seeing, my first willow warbler of the year, and on my local patch, too, where I haven't heard or seen any for the last couple of years. Loud blackcaps everywhere too.

Quite a good list of spots on my run today, topped by a nuthatch can't remember the last time I saw one then a few minutes later a bullfinch - again one I don't see often here. More regular sightings here of GSW and several green woodies, a surprise jay, chiffchaffs, and the yellowhammers in their usual hedgerow. Not a bad haul and a useful excuse for walking so much/being so slow today
