I remember Krankl and the Austrians of the late 1970s and early 1980s, including when they beat England 4-3 in a friendly in Vienna.

That fix in 1982 was very obvious. If Austria hadn't have 'lost,' England would have played them and Spain in the second round rather than West Germany. Northern Ireland would have played Algeria and France.

And I vaguely remember Everton beating Rapid Vienna in the 1985 European Cup Winners Cup. Again, I see Krankl on the scoresheet.

Those 1982 second round groups were shit. We drew 0-0 with Spain and Germany and went out.
