Not for me. This is where var is a problem for me. If that goal put England out how would you feel. Robbed.

Nope, not at all.

Where as when Lamps goal was about a foot over the line, yes, I had a problem with the decision.

Actually this is one decision that VAR is brilliant. It is objective, not subjective.

Maybe the rule is wrong and more than half the ball over the line is correct. Anyway, I am off to bed.

Hopefully up early enough to argue over marginal calls in the cricket ;-)

Lol, that’s clearly not over the line.

I’ll be honest, mate. If England went out because of a goal disallowed when it was that close I’d probably be kicking off about how unfair it was and how we’d been cheated

BUT

That would be entirely because I’m irrational and emotional when it comes to my team, not because I was seeing the the situation and how the rules had been applied clearly. It would make me angry but it wouldn’t make me right.

I’m in agreement with Baz actually. I looked out of play to me but I don’t make the decisions and it keeps my team in for the moment so I won’t complain.

Belgian the other hand has let me down.

After stuff like the lampard goal I’d much rather they use the Hawkeye-type technology to decide whether the ball crosses the line than relying on the on field officials. Tight margins and all that but these things make a difference.

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
