What's a long-shorted 500m dash when it's at home?

Defo interested in a mile on my home track. It will be an advantage to know which way it turns.
Timed 100 or 400 might be cool too...

Right, Quick update.
The track at the stadium MAY be being relaid (they won't know for sure until mid-August) in September - and they then make the track out of bounds for 10 weeks, which means depending on when the work is done, will knock out all of September, all of October, and maybe all of November.
Which kind of puts it into December. So adjust your expectations towards some sort of Yuletide themed event. With warmer clothing.
Cost will be between £40 and £60 per hour all in, between all of us, and the best time on a Saturday if we want exclusive access to the track is after 1300.
I said I'd be in touch with the stadium again mid-August to confirm what's happening about the track - meanwhile they've been instructed not to take any bookings.
That is all for now.

Hi Frobester - as Emjaybee said all 4 of us (2 little junior fetchies as well) are interested. Oldest daughter would like to meet some other 'junior fetchies' and thinks this would be great.

FFS. Track out of action for TEN WEEKS. That will screw up Friday night track sessions. That's really crap news. Nothing wrong with that surface at all.

They will be laying the same surface that will be used in the Olympic Stadium so that our athletes get to practice on it before hand.

Well, I suppose that since the home straight is in the direction of the prevailing wind, there will be no excuse not to set super fast 100m times on it. Do World Records count if set at a Fetch event?
