McGoohan Jul 2016 9:15pm, 3 Jul 2016 24,538 posts	0 McGoohan I am really enjoying it but have a nagging trepidation that it might end up being a bit episodic by its very nature: Chapter 1 early life, Chapter 2 school, Chapter 3 army... so that we get a different set of people each time. The things I am most reminded of so far: The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie Michael Moorcock's non-fantasy historical novel Byzantium Endures (and its sequels) - which covers the life of a Russian emigre to Britain throughout the 20th century.

There is an episodic quality to the book but I think it hangs together very well arounnd the constant that is John James Todd.
