Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Two robins hopping along the wall outside the front window. I don't see any of the other quarter-finalists providing free entertainment or otherwise attempting to get my vote.

We have resident Robins and Thrushes in our hedgerows. I voted based on which one was first to the birdtable this morning :)

Quite - that's why I voted thrush.

[see a lot of blackbirds which as we know are thrushes, but this is specifically a song thrush we're voting for I believe]

Blackbirds are known as yellow beaked bastards in our family. I suspect it has to do with theft of summer berries but I know not and the person who coined the term died in 1990.
