As OH and I were walking to the pub we noticed that most of the businesses closing up along the Wharf were putting sandbags in front of their shop door ways or had special flood defence gates! It seemed like overkill, but when we left the pub the waves were coming up over the road! We couldn't believe how high the water level was!!

The Sloop was heaving! So we went to the Lifeboat Inn. Too cold to sit outside anyway.
