Many years ago some lovely Fetchie shared a recipe for skinny flapjack - oats, a jar of apple sauce and mashed banana, among other things. Does anybody have the recipe, remember it, know who shared it?? It was very nice and low fat and just what I am looking for once again.

So I made some skinny flapjack - but due to an error put 4x as much milk in as the recipe stated. I left it for a while for the oats to soak it up and cooked it and it was very nice. Without the milk, the oats would have been hard, I think. I have now amended the recipe to 1 280g jar of apple sauce and 1 large mashed banana, 1 cup of milk, 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of vanilla and 2 cups of oats. I also added 1 cup of sultanas. Stir it up and let it stand then 18 minutes at 180C. |
