I'm doing the Castle run, so intend parking at the park and ride opposite the Riverhouse and just walking fae there to the start at the golf course.

Looks likely to be a decent day for running and spectating. Been quite dry around here, a little rain forecast overnight. There is onstreet parking amongst the houses to the east of the King's Park (generally paid) and to the south of the park (generally free, where I went on marathon day). Viewforth is the nearest (paid) car park, around ten minutes walk. The P&R Ally refers to is Castleview which is maybe thirty minutes walk to the main event area. As there are road closures which would affect the P&R bus, erm, dunno. It would also involve mixing with the Castle run race route, though is handy for access from the motorway. |

If you do it as an enthusiastic warm up maybe Which wave are you in? I did wonder about the short section of two-way running, but I don't think that many runners will be on that section at any one time. The paths in the early part are quite narrow so I reckon runners will be well spread out all round the route - hope everyone starts in the right place in each wave fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=1798492 Race day info and road closures: greatrun.org |

Ally-c it is only about 15-20 minute from castle view. We live just beside Kings Park - I would also suggest the Wellgreen NCP in town - £2.20 all day flat fee. You’d be 5 minutes walk from there to the park! Even if you parked anywhere in the town centre you’d be less than a mile to the park. There’s a cheap car park at the cinema the other side of the train station. It’s Under a mile from train station to park. |

We shall be there to watch - tv vans been there since yesterday, event village up. There’s a new cafe opened up in the park at the tennis courts - not tried it yet and expect it to be busy. |

That was a hard race, pretty steep climbs! Good event though. Too much of a cold wind to hang about to watch the good folk. |

Despite the Stirling XC today we had over 800 at Cramond, nearly 500 and joint record at Porty and a high number at Vogrie. Wondering if another Edinburgh area parkrun is required and if there are any rumours of one. I have thought of options but have struggled to think of any suitable locations unfortunately.
