I reckon the high number of DNS may have been a result of the automatic entry for those who were due to run in March. I know a workmate, for example, who was unavailable this weekend but didn’t want to request a refund for a charity-run event so would’ve been listed as a DNS.

Good going RP - that’s a decent result!

It was rather warm today - there were some not fairing well on menstrie brae where I was running - circa. 1.50-2 hour finishing times.

Well done to Alloa runners. I was stood at Menstrie cheering on for a little while. Saw the leader pass and probably the next 15-20 mins. The detour on the path (missing the bridge) was causing mass confusion with the first 30 or so and they only stuck a marshall down there once a few spectators had a word with the yellow vests who were there.

Well done at Alloa and Stirling Tri and elsewhere folks. Alloa seem to have ignored the fact that I replied on their rescheduled date to say I wouldn't do it, but didn't need a refund. They still send me a race number email. So I would have been a DNS even though I told them I didn't want a place. :-) G

Has anyone run Fort William marathon before (or running this year)? I’m going to support boy and just wondering if anyone can give me tips on where to support from on the route or should I just head for the finish line? Thanks :-)

I spectated at the Commando Memorial near Spean Bridge and at the canal part called Neptune’s staircase. After that on the main road to Spean Bridge fae FW, then onto the finish at the ski centre.
