Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Enjoy Faskally, Maz: I'll be closer to hame.

Bazo, not sure that the HM route really coincided. The (rather missed) Auld Toun 10K did though, although it also routed outside the park with a precipitous descent of the (?) Mine Brae.

Queens Park for me weather permitting. Been there once to be iced off and a mad rush to Tollcross.

Btw, Faskally is the hardest one I’ve done.

Back at 3k on the Green earlier, for a PW & a mauling off of Iain C😀 Good to have it back after nearly two years.

Update to previous post. The burdens relay has been cancelled due to weather warning.

Wow, you're quick JR, only came up on KRR FB page half hour ago. Very sad for all those who were entered. Great event, and we KRR, had about 50 runners in it - 8 teams of 6 across the 4 legs, I think, something like that. It's a bit wild out just now, but doesn't look that bad. Oh well. Wouldn't matter up the hill, but I suppose it's in the Falkland village that it would be a problem, down lower and in the trees?

I didnt ever do the Auld Toon 10k.

The HM started and finished in the park and had a few loops round a car park to make up distance. It also went down and then up what may well have been the brae you referred to.

That was my HM PB for many years and I could never get close to it between 2010 and maybe 2017 when I did better it. At alloa which also has a nasty brae to climb

I think the messaging from the estate that the cafe and shop will be shut and generally asking folk not to come outs it beyond any doubt.

Found a route for 2010, when we both ran it, along with quite a few Fetchies. Mair in the park than I recalled, but not that coincident with the parkrun route, and not including the Coal Road. I remember the weird sharp drop and rise in the car park, just before re-entering the park through the big gates to finish.

I also remember it being a real drag along the auld railway path on the return leg, which had been a breeze outbound. Only later did I twig that it was because it had a steady gradient of aboot 1.5% muppet
