Thanks for all your good wishes for my job-hunting success, folks. I applied for a job recently which looked really good, but didn’t get an interview. We’ve got icy conditions here in Miltonduff. I’d run out of fresh veg & fruit and was defrosting the car this morning to try to head out. Two neighbours dissuaded me and one of their friends who had a 4x4 did a shop for a few of us. |

Hey Moray folks - another question. I’d like a recommendation for a good sports massage therapist please. |

Complaining that an RD won't cancel in conditions the RD considers safe is a headscratcher. I was at Falkirk last week which went ahead with minor course alterations and a slight lengthening. In the briefing, the RD advised that although there was no ice, some open sections might be a bit slippy so to be careful and "I don't want to see any heroes out there. No pbs, ok?" First finisher set a 1:06 pb In other Falkirk news, last Saturday of the month this year is to be pacer month. They have specifically written that they are are looking for runners who know the Falkirk course ie (my wording) if you are a tourist who thinks they can just turn up and bag a volunteer credit as well as a run, sling yer hook. As anyone who has run Falkirk knows, it's not a course for even pacing. And I've seen some quite rubbish attempts at pacing on it (by local club members!). |

It’s a hard course to pace. I tried it once and didn’t do well at it. Flat, up, down, flat, steep up, down then flat.

One of the Falkirk core team made a pacing guide for the parkrun. I was a bit hmm, but having checked it out, it does take into account the complexities of the course. facebook.com |
