Yep, he seems to be hoping for some travel exemption for organised events to be announced, I think he'd be better just binning it. Scot Gov published their travel guidelines for the new 5 tier system yesterday gov.scot and with Killin being in a tier 3 area, then I can't see any exemption that would allow it to go ahead. |

Even a race in a Level 1 area like Highland/ Moray (obvious example being Speyside Way) would seem to be scuppered by those travel restrictions if a great number of participants live in Level 3.

Isn't the travel moot as the events themselves would be banned? Maybe somewhere in Highland or the islands, when events are permitted, small races, five or ten km could be put on - local races for local people. As for Glen Ogle - nearly five weeks away, things could change. Not that hopeful, but specifically, Stirling could move to a lower level. If the race was permitted, would organisers be able to say that entrants from higher level areas could not attend? |

Stirling numbers are relatively low, we are only in level 3 because of our proximity to Glasgow & Edinburgh imho. Can’t see that changing soon. |

Difficulty is that "Stirling" - which is part of Forth Valley Health Board Area - has Stirling City, Falkirk etc along with the rural parts. The definitions are too general.

I see that the Speyside Way Ultra is going ahead a week on Saturday, but only for those not living in a tier 3 or tier 4 area. Racing now becomes a bit of a postcode lottery ! Good to see a race going ahead though |

Main reason why Stirling is in tier 3 is that Forth Valley Hospital was forecast to hit capacity in 6 weeks time. Our stats are pretty decent, but that was the clincher apparently.

Just entered a couple of the Moray Way Ultras. Was tempted by the 100 miler... but not that tempted. Also let them know I could volunteer for the Speyside Way this year if they have lost any Level 3 based volunteers!
