McG - can you remember what the populist novels thread is called? I'm reluctant to say what I want to say back on the book thread for fear of derision.

There was the anti-populist 'Smell of Bronte' thread. Have we got a populist one?

Do you mean the 'Not Book Group but discussed by the Book Group' thread?

QFs 2 and 4 closed.

Rabbitfishes (Siganus spp.) 10 - 22 Lionfishes (Pterois spp.)

Most stingrays 9 - 23 Platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus)[a]

Disappointed that most stingrays haven't made the semis and qualification for SuperDeath.

Disappointing from most stingrays indeed, anything that can knock off macho Australian naturalists would be a worthy superdeath entrant in my book.

On the positive the Lionfish is a magnificent beast. Regal. It's poisonous, and it knows it. It also knows you know it. It just hovers there, daring anyone to take it on. No need to hide/camouflage itself/swim away. Watch out Einstein/Bacon sandwich/Red squirrel etc, the new daddy is in town... :-)
