Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Watched some of it on Eurosport this morning. Showed a few Elite runners up to 2h25ish and then it ended.
Have to say the last few miles looked incredibly boring along that practically straight road.

How did everyone get on? I managed a five minute PB from October. :-) It wasn’t the time I wanted but with the heat and the crowds I really struggled and was really glad to get something out of it at the end.

I messed up big time :-( Absolutely on target until halfway - then it got too hot. That combined with being fed chickpea and cauliflower curry by my host the night before really messed it all up for me. Missed my A and B targets and was 5 mins slower than last year. Blog to follow!

sounds like you did a brilliant job in tough conditions. it's really tough having no control over what you eat, it can make such a difference. my brother lives right near the start of my next marathon but I'm staying in a hotel just so I've got an extra element of control! my mum was a good half an hour outside the time she was capable of- the heat has a lot to answer for, especially when you've been training over the winter. easier said than done, but try not to beat yourself up xx

in other news, I've been on page 3/3 waiting to give payment details for 2017's race for 41 minutes now!

I've signed Husbando and I up for next year. Madness! I've persuaded another marathon virgin to come along and we are probably going to get an apartment for a few days so that we have absolute control!

I'm not in next year. I enjoyed it and all that, but it's the first day of the school hols next year, I want my family at my foreign events (was the plan for this year, but 36+5 weeks preggers doesn't make for good travelling) so I'm going to try to find something a bit smaller.
