If it's "mouse" you'd presumably use a staple gun @Diogenes . ;-)

It seems to have been attached to a tree in the M. The former football ground was in fact the M in question, where there is now a cul-de-sac named for Mr. Cadman.

1739 Robert Cadman, a steeplejack, fixed a rope from the spire of St. Mary's Church in Shrewsbury to the meadow on the other side of the river Severn. A large crowd congregated to see him fly up and down the rope, perform tricks and fire pistols. However, the rope snapped and he fell to his death.

Glenners does the decent thing (unlike Dio and Nellers :-) )

There was a bit of a craze for "flying men" in the 1730s, and Cadman, who had been performing around the country for many years, featured in a painting by Hogarth. His death was widely reported, including in the London Evening Standard, and by a lengthy poem in The Gentleman's magazine. He had signalled his assistant to slacken the rope off slightly, but the assistant instead tightened it, and the rope snapped where it was attached to the frame of the church bells.

Just noticed this. On it in the morning.

I’ve been to the old Gay Meadow more than once. They had a bloke in a coracle in the river to retrieve the balls that ended up there.

Peter Frampton solos on nine instruments in barely tolerable performance by Wurzels and forces Sting to comply with a horrible setlist in Cardiff.
