It seems Spring and Autumn are the only times the place is inhabitable. Winter is wind and rain, Summer is stupidly hot and the place is over-run with tourists*

That’s what *people* say about our bit of Portugal - they are not terribly accurate in their assessment. We are in our last week and so far we have had more than 50% of sunny days, a couple of weeks of fantastic surfing weather and maybe 10 days of rain. Evenings are cool but the temperature is pretty reliably 5-8 degrees warmer than dear old blighty - the last couple of days have been nudging 20C. Of course, anyone booking a week’s holiday in one of the *wet* weeks would be cheesed off…

I’m guessing it’s pot luck for a week this time of year in either place. It’s been glorious here - 18-20C and sunny. Back in Blighty next weekend to forecast 9C and rain.

2021 Florida man allegedly kills his grandfather, cuts off his ears and puts them in his pocket

It seems this happened under the influence of marijuana, perhaps they have different stuff to the type we get, which mostly has you fancying a Whispa

Anyway, ears Greppers with the next clue

Talking to the woman in the local Convenience Store (the Maltese equivalent of Nisa or SPAR, but you probably knew that). Apparently it was 18C for much of January. People in shorts and all sorts.

Getting here in January seems to be rather trickier - certainly unless one wants to schlepp over to LGW

Does that mean it's an open table? If you're waltzing around Malta Gerp?

It was like that here too (we arrived Jan 18)

Peter Frampton solos on nine instruments in barely tolerable performance by Wurzels and forces Sting to comply with a horrible setlist in Cardiff.
