Unbelievable traffic this morning at 8.45am. I live in St John's Rd and needed to get to Wood Street but because the end of St Johns road was closed I had to try alternative routes....took me 45mins from leaving home, gridlocked everywhere and not helped by the town centre closed for pancake race.
How long is St John's Rd going to be closed when they just seem to be waiting to fill the hole in, been like it for days

I am disappointed but not surprised that the pancake race was allowed to continue given the closure of St John's road. As upsetting as it would be to reschedule the pancake race, a sensible Town Council would have done so to avoid the chaos.
Unfortunately our town council are not known for their forethought and reactive planning....they clearly meant well, but probably made the wrong call.

I think everyone on here that has seen the failure after failure of the bridge lights contact and complain to the town council and report on fix my street. Chaos today because of this, the closure and diversion for the works down St John's, Portway roadworks and the town closed for the pancake race today! Also, please be more patient as I saw some ridiculous manoeuvres and driving today!!

Question... is it me or does the x2 bus that runs throu brightwell seem alot louder.? My cats run a mile now every time one comes past the house in high road!!
