Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I say lettuce, it was the whole side salad garnish to his burger and chips.

I say "his" burger and chips, he was with Ray Stubbs, John Motson and the BBC Match of the Day team, so strictly speaking, as a licence payer, it was partly my burger and chips.

Ray Stubbs has got one of the world’s most punchable faces. How did you resist?

Trevor Lawrence is called Trevor, and he's a superstar.

Mr Brooking was at my table for a corporate hospitality thing for some clients at England v Cameroon in the early 90s. He polished off an improbable amount of red wine, was generally uncharming and unengaged then buggered off to do the radio commentary. Never warmed to the chap.

You might like the next one too, o PoD. Start sheet's going to need some sorting but it has the potential to be pretty good.

Will probably start it next Tuesday. Can't remember who's it is, but suspect I'm going to get stuck with the legwork for the start sheet.
