Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Hamstring Niggle

Any tips for dealing with a slight hamstring niggle? Had a niggly spot in middle of right hammy after strength session (squats & deadlifts) in gym last weekend - stretched, foam/stick rolled, used ice & heat on Monday. Hamstrings were still achy on Tuesday (but no obvious niggle), so foam rolled again, and on changing position from hamstring to glute on roller, got a horrible dull ache round top of hammy/groin area. Eased off and felt ok Wed morning, until I squatted to pick up boxes at work, and got the horrible ache again.

Have been using hot & cold therapy, and stretching/rolling - felt the initial niggle a bit at bootcamp yesterday (during *gentle* jump squats, and at end when bending down to pick up cones down the hill. Had sports massage in afternoon - hamstrings are still pretty flexible, though right leg a bit tight in general (he spent a fair while working on inside of calf and up inside of thigh - one particular spot on calf sent a shot right up the hammy).

Have been using hot and cold again this afternoon, and will try a stretch before a bath, but I am seriously paranoid about making it worse!

Got something to say?
