I don't think it's the same, Dougal, but I assume it's similar. I think the CPI thing is a more limited basket? It's an ONS list though. The broader list includes computer game cartridges, and I really think I'm using the most up to date list :-o

Last year also saw the inclusion of cycling helmets, gin and non-dairy milk, as hipster culture became more mainstream.

This year, after the across the UK in recent years, the “bottle of lager in a nightclub” has been dropped.

“bottle of lager in a nightclub” would have made it to super-death for sure.
