We can't refill our growlers at our local brewery and more (Speyside), but another that recently left our town for bigger premises along the coast is doing deliveries of bottles. Order going in Monday!

quiet here, I guess that's the virus for you, on out hols we ventured out to quite a fee,w, you have too, varied results as always, this place was excellent though..... packocards.co.uk what was brilliant was 80% of the pub has been poshed up, nice rooms, restaurant, good food and beer garden, but they had a locals bar which often gets neglected or omitted altogether when pubs are gentrified. I do have to say Devon and Somerset were a tad disappointing, wall to wall Proper Job, Doom Bar,and Tribute, with Exmoor Ales also, plus Otter, not a lot else...there seems to be a trend for Lager-ish 'beers' now, Sharps Atlantic for instance....I think I might be spoilt in Manchester and Stockport for the range of beers you can find, |

Padstow Brewery have very recently added a second Tasting Room (in the old Post Office). Very good locally brewed beer. Yes, before you ask, we tried them all. |

Just spotted this thread, close to my heart! Does anyone else make their own? I brew using a BIAB method and store in cornelius kegs which would have CAMRA members spluttering into their jugs, but I think I come close to some of the better micro-brewery efforts, and certainly better than most commercial. I prefer light Summer type ales, and make a mean Summer Lightning and also Proper Job clones. Although lately I have been leaning towards the American West Coast IPA's |

I used to, years back, never really got to grips with it, nothing wrong with how you brew if it tastes good......I used to be a bit precious and use a mash tun, grains hops, the works, never made 2 beer alike even when I tried. I should try again. Keg is the future, good beers made that way these days and they stop wastage. Very sad past couple of week, my local micro has re-opened as a take out, lloks very sad as a 'shop' rather than a proper pub. We're spending a few quid with them. I have a terrible fear for the future of non-food, wet pubs, as far as I can see covid is here for good, I can see laws being passed about serving food, space requirements, mask wearing and the like that will see the end of small bars and pubs and only chains and pub cos winning. |

Thirst Class Mosaic Pale Ale Keg is empty. Christmas is done. Sad. Nice beer, Mosaic is a bit odd, very hoppy and fruity smell, juicy taste but it does have an odd 'off' lingering finish... |
