Song Thrush wss sat in the garden for ages today, plumped up feathers so I think it had been using the bird bath.. Not noticed one here before.
Two Dunnocks together also, possible Dunnock family about to happen?

Last spring was excellent for cuckoo here. I heard one in the coach park you run up through at the start of the Yorkshireman and we heard four on a long run early May

It was the same here DT. I heard more locally than for many years. I'm not sure if that was because there were more or just that it was so quiet during April and May last year?

I had two or three much closer to housing etc than I’ve ever heard them before ff
Dipper and jay this morning but still no chiffchaff despite walking round local favoured sites

I won't get a Cuckoo locally, never do nowadays. I know I could see and hear them during the breeding season just ten miles north of where I am and even more so in the valleys/mountains about twenty miles north.
Another single Chiff singing this morning. Six Greenfinches together was another "unusual" gathering these days. ( Covid restrictions 😂)
