Song Thrush wss sat in the garden for ages today, plumped up feathers so I think it had been using the bird bath.. Not noticed one here before.

Two Dunnocks together also, possible Dunnock family about to happen?

Last spring was excellent for cuckoo here. I heard one in the coach park you run up through at the start of the Yorkshireman and we heard four on a long run early May

It was the same here DT. I heard more locally than for many years. I'm not sure if that was because there were more or just that it was so quiet during April and May last year?

I won't get a Cuckoo locally, never do nowadays. I know I could see and hear them during the breeding season just ten miles north of where I am and even more so in the valleys/mountains about twenty miles north.

Another single Chiff singing this morning. Six Greenfinches together was another "unusual" gathering these days. ( Covid restrictions 😂)
