Am in Duddon in a few weeks. Much as I love keswick and surrounding areas, it will be good to get away from it all. Hopefully OH's hip/knee/foot problems go away and we can get out on the Fells

Lovely. Not quite Dunnerdale, but I've never really explored the Ulpha fells and am going to do that soon. I think most hill-baggers do Green Crag and Harter fell [i.e, Wainwrights] then move on, but there's so much more around there.

Was there last year (just off Walna Scar Rd, near Seathwaite) - did Caw on one walk and Dow Crag on another, plus lots of low-level walks, including Dunnerdale Forest.
Hope to get a bit further afield this year - Green Crag, Harter Fell and Hard Knot, the Tilberthwaite Fells and/or the other side of the Wrynose, depending on fitness levels

Three-in-one this morning: Wansfell Pike, Wansfell and Baystones!
Conditions were sunny but a little wet at times (fortunately, the worst of it was on Blue Hill Road, on the home stretch).

I think if I move to the Lakes Seathwaite would be high on the list of places to live. The pub's a cracker
Also a big fan of Coniston Fells, but only out mid-week out of tourist season.

I like Seathwaite too - a bit out of the way though Hard in winter I bet.
R4R - I like the sound of that. Our "last Wainwrights" day was thereabouts, we started off at that big car park beyond Seathwaite (is it Birks Bridge?) and went up to Green Crag, then over to Harter Fell before dropping down to the pass and over to Hard Knott itself. We then doubled back for a bit of a slog straight up the front of Grey Friar and that was it, job done It's a lovely descent down the back of Grey Friar as I remember, this would be to the SW. Cracking route.

VP - just re-read your post. Aren't Wansfell and Baystones the same thing?

I'd just got up the map to check that as I thought the same
Depending how you want to read the map, Baystones could be the secondary minor summit just north of Wansfell top. I've never noticed it before.

I can't claim to be an expert on the matter, NE. I'm just going by what strava says and it lists them separately.
