Wriggling Snake
I saw Siouxsie and The Banshees with Robert Smith of the Cure as the guitarist, Siouxise had a broken leg, so as she clambered across the stage, in the dry ice, with a huge plaster cast, which you could clearly see from the light shed by the massive Neon Crucifix in the the centre of a graveyard that constituted the stage set.....

On a related note, the perfect pop single must not be over 3 and half minutes long, must have a great 'B' side and a great cover sleeve.
The Smiths William it was Really Nothing was 2:09 long, had a great cover and (some versions) How Soon is Now? on the 'B' side. Perfection. It was a little odd as a 12'' single though, as they didn't release a 'extended 12'' mix' so at 2:09 the needle used to rocket across the record at an absurd speed....

Ah. 'My Old School', which was my suggestion for a Mighty Dan entry, was actually the B Side to 'Rikki DLTN' - wrong way round IMO but hey.
