"it wasn’t The Cheap Shots"

You gave that away with 'decent'.

I played "She Hangs Brightly" earlier (without having seen this thread). Which lead me to reading about Mazzy Star/ Hope Sandoval on the nets and the astonishing news that Mazzy Star have just released a new EP (albeit of 3/4 very old tunes). I also had never realised that Colm Ó Cíosóig was the main Warm Invention (and I have just found that he is twenty-eight days older than me). Hope was indeed (and may still be) utterly swoonsome.

Maybe it will evolve into something less dull over the next few thousand years?

You mean it will outlive the other more interesting death-matches as it's more suitable to purpose?

You could have done without going up against green shoots from an England footy side in the World Cup and an ODI side ripping up record books to be fair.

Although please don’t rerun it in February....

I wouldn't fancy Chuck's chances against a pink ball on a Chelmsford trampoline.
