Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It was featured in one of the Cunk History programmes

This is what I remember off the top of my head: It featured Karl Howman and Gary Waldhorn in the main roles. Howman played the loveable romeo Jacko who works as a painter and decorator for the miserable Lionel, but spends most of his time flirting with any woman he meets, especially Lionel's attractive daughter. Lionel's wife also has a thing for Jacko, who remains resolutely single, and lives wife his sister and brother-in-law Mike, who he also works with. Mije is the opposite of Jacko, a devoted husband and father. Jacko wears a brown leather jacket. The theme tune was by Kevin Rowland (Dexys). The show wasn't the best or the worst.

Gary Waldhorn would go on to be better known for playing David Horton in The Vicar of Dibley. Karl Howman is a pretty sound guy, judging by his social media.

[Correction: Jacko's brother-in-law was called Eric, he was played by the actor Mike Walling]

Brush Strokes sounds disturbingly like ‘Just good Friends’, and still utterly unmemorable although I’m sure I watched it….
