Hope everyone is doing good. Had 3 drop outs and 1 late entry yesterday so the yo yo stuff still goes on. Fingers crossed no more changes now! My lovely child has done the goodie bags for you lot so if you find some odd item like a single sock or a pair of headphones or something in them, can you give me it back. Ta.

Everyone must be busy sorting their drop bags. I have all the route printed out from the website - scattered all over the kitchen floor
Question to Ms. R.D. - (or anyone really, I'm not fussy) - after Kirkton of GlenIsla, the route crosses a footbridge. after that, the website route seems to follow the river for 1km (looks sensible), but the official route map shows an uphill detour, followed by a downhill through the woods (not so direct). Which is it?
Oh, and I wasn't going to bother with a drop bag at Dalnag(rrrr) castle - 6 miles in seems like it's not really worth it. On second thoughts, maybe a bottle, or just a banana...
Yes, I am starting to *wibble* (is there a picture for the yet?)
Oh, and is the late entry Jez Bragg? He'll leave the two Paul fighting it out for 2nd and 3rd then - I'm sure he'll have recovered from the Fellsman by now.

Can't help with route - I remember folk talking last year about a bit where you follow Lintie's lumo arrows, not the official trail route, but can't remember where. Not helpful, soz! :-)G

Andy go with the map on the website and it will be waymarked, don't go by the official map. You'll get the hang of the jaunty angled waymarks after a few miles A lot of folk didn't bother with the first drop bag stop, it's there if need be though. lol no no Jez this year, the race entry list is up to date now though. I did the lumo arrows from Alyth as the full route does a boring loop but this alternative official loop cuts out the boring loop and goes in a big circle. Easy peasy though.

Great - that's one less silly climb to not worry about. Please remind me that I have promised myself that I will be good and take it easy and enjoy the day. I'm worried that I might spoil it all by doing something silly, like running too fast.
Looking forward to seeing Perthshire covered in orange (or whatever) waymarking paint

The os maps don't take into account the landowners shuffling the route about. The backpackers map is different too! I must say i love playing with the spray paint. Watch out for little messages on the route and run a wee bit fast but just enough to enjoy it.
