Morning (just) :-)

:-( for the NDW DNFs but the right decisions.

29:01 at parkrun this morning - I am chuffed with a SB (by some margin) but cross with that :01! :-)

Infuriating :01 - but that’s a grand run :-) I was thinking like that as runners just missed a nice round number this morning.

👏 for Daisy's SB.
Back from a 40 minute trot in Greenwich Park. Here and there, to and fro, up and down as the fancy took me. The fancy took me under the tree shade as far as possible.

Well done on an SB (despite that 01), LD

That sounds like a rather lovely run, Columba

Back from 19 and a bit miles, was a struggle trying to keep the heart rate down from mile 13, and has taken 1/2 an hour to cool down. Would normally have continued to 20 miles, but the legs and body weren't up for it in the heat.

Of course you'll be back Bint :)

Are you shouting and cheering at mile 22 tomorrow? or is that too much for your back?

Thanks, Linds, the Bordon one (Hogmoor enclosure) is indeed now my nearest park run (10 miles, 23 mins). I didn’t know they even had one.

I'm afraid not, RH
Really wary of doing more damage. Standing for that length of time and the walking to get there would finish me off :-(

That's how I run in Greenwich Park, too, Columba :-)

Great running everyone. Be careful in this heat please.

Just shopped for Fetchpoint: bucket, sponges, mini cheddars, salted pretzels, loads more oranges, and a few small cans of g&t / vodka-lime-tonic, one of which has my name on :-)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
