Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Is this the right thread

A Mirror Of Dreams is the first of two books which provide the definitive account of the intertwined stories of the six bands which led the progressive rock revival in the 1980s: Marillion, IQ, Pallas, Pendragon, Solstice and Twelfth Night.

Very much so, I reckon. I saw Pallas twice, though none of the others. I meant to see IQ, but me and my friends were standing at the bus stop, considered the very snowy conditions, and decided that a trip up to Glasgow really wasn't the best idea.

And I missed out on an opportunity to see Marillion at Milton Keynes because my dad discovered the secret plan and grounded me. Wish I’d climbed out the window like Yann suggested.

I saw more of the smaller bands mentioned - especially Liaison, than the bigger ones I was at The Marquee nearly every week in the early 80s :)

Thanks for the link. Could be interesting.

Seen Marillion somewhere in the region of 30 times, split about 25/75 between the Fish and 'H' eras They were the first proper band I 'got into' in my early teens and I still try and grab them (+ Fish) when they tour.

I came to Pendragon quite late but have seen them a few times too, although I have seen Nick Barrett standing in as a guest guitarist for other bands (notably Mick Pointer's StillMarillion) more.

Saw Pallas once. Didn't do anything for me.

I’ve seen Marillion many times - seven or eight at a guess. All Fish-era.
