The "Monkey vs Monkees" nonsense final is still on, alas.
Shame the Superdeath stars haven't aligned to enable Monkey (winner of the fictional primate deathmatch) vs Autumn (winner of the Autumn deathmatch)

Early scores: ===
Monkey, a skilled fighter who becomes a brash king of a monkey tribe and who was "the punkiest monkey that ever popped" 4 - 5 King Kong
Gerald The Gorilla (Not The Nine O'Clock News) 2 - 6 "Funky Gibbon", a song by Bill Oddie and recorded by The Goodies. It was arranged by Tom Parker ("with interference from Bill Oddie") with the musical backing provided by members of the R&B band Gonzalez and released as a single in February 1975
The Tipps family (In 1956 PG Tips began using anthropomorphic chimpanzees in their TV advertisements. These were dressed in human clothes and were known as the 'Tipps family'. Their voices were often provided by celebrities, such as Peter Sellers and Bob Monkhouse. The chimpanzees were from Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire) 4 - 4 The Monkees (on the basis other people made their music)
Clyde, Clint Eastwood's sidekick from the 1978 box office hit Every Which Way But Loose 4 - 4 King Louie, a fictional character in Walt Disney's 1967 animated musical film, "The Jungle Book"

The Funky Gibbon v The Tipps family would make a superb final.
