Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Last year was very cold and blowy. I pootled around with Hipps off not much training. Nice day out - well organised and the marshalls were really encouraging.

Hope you're not as cold as last weekend's "summer" Edinburgh marathon Lorraine! Paul the builder has said hat I was wrong to carry all my gels and water with me at Lochaber. Reckons I could shave 30s off my time, just by not dragging a Samsonite luggage trolley with me. Interesting idea. In which case, grabbing a gel and water on each lap might be very helpful. Fanks! :-)G

This is a great marathon, makes Edinburgh look a farce, and Fetchpoint on each lap is such a bonus...even if you don`t need to take need supplies each lap you know they`re never that far away. My equal-favourite race of 2010, along with Black Rock 5. Pity I can`t do Town Moor this year, but it holds great memories :-) :-)

Should really get round to entering this. Even though its not exactly my favourite marathon it is on the door step so would be a bit daft not to run it.
