Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I set up a race when I was in living in Sydney for a few years called the 10/20. The premise being you have a beer (a schooner, 340ml) every 2KM. covering 20KM and drinking 10 beers.

I was thinking of setting up one here too, but localising the format, so I was thinking 6 pubs, 6 pints, 12 miles, 1 pint every 2 miles. I was looking at route in central London, starting and finishing in Waterloo:

Would anyone be up for this? The first race had 2 runners, the year after 30! :)

Given my ability to drink I would be a DNF at about mile 4 I think :) Have fun though!

That's fun for sure, this is a longer event, a few hours of running and drinking where you pick some nice pubs, good scenery...and a sprint finish!

A London Fetch summer pub run/crawl has been a regular feature for the last few years, usually in August, though we have more than 6 pubs. There is a thread here http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=36072 and a group. You will find lots of us are up for it :)

Putting the 'Run' into Drunk is the slogan :)

I think MPH is impatient and needs to do a pub run within the next few weeks ;-)

I'd be in if I had a free weekend, but it's wedding season......

Yeah I'm on that thread too and up for that too, this is a more formal race, where it can be scheduled and run, year after year. Maybe there's no desire for it with the fetch crawl in play, which is fine.
