Kazzaf Disappointed with performance. Ave pace 8.55 which is much slower than my 11m leg at RNR 3 weeks ago. Had hoped to run nearer my PB time of 1.50.45. Legs felt tired and struggled from 9m onwards. Found it very hot too. Not a happy day!

***UPDATE*** Garmin time, awaiting official results. Expect to be just outside my PB, but very happy with time, considering injury problems I've had. Acheived everything I set out to do today and had a lovely run with a great vibe:-)

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Set off with club runners Nigel and Andy and hoping to pace at 7:20 m/m, first 3 miles were a bit faster than planned and already I was struggling with the pace so decided to drop back, at 3.5 miles had to stop at a house for a comfort break :-O so the strategy of no caffeine for 3 days didn't do the trick! Mile 5 and I had a very uncomfortable stitch and was also feeling drained so knew I needed my gel and was a bit worried about taking it in case it made the situation worse, took it at about 5.5 miles but stitch didn't go until after 7 miles, by 8 miles I was feeling very fatigued, the last few weeks had really caught up with me, much as I tried to hang onto a decent pace it was gradually getting the better of me, saw a Corby shirt just after 11 miles and I was convinced that I picked up my pace to catch up with Angus and although I caught and passed him which gave me a terrific boost it was in fact my slowest mile! picked up through 12 & 13 and finished around 1:40, forgot to stop garmin so not sure of actual finish time. Maybe I need to rest a bit!! ;-)

Schnecke Almost a 5 minute PB - amazed! Was on for sub 1:50 at the half way point, but couldn't quite manage it at the end. I stopped to help a collapsing lady in the last mile - she was staggering all over the place- another runner and I got her to the side of the road and lay her down, then I sprinted on to find a marshal and send them back to her - the sprinting was a poor idea as I then felt like I was about to collapse as well! I hope she was OK.

Ally2 Entered 29/5. heard it's quick and decent field so target race. Started steady in mile 1 in 5:20 and was lying 3rd (first 2 shot off in first 50m), 2 guys set off at mile 1 and further 2 at mile 3. Lying 7th with one other pushing me until half way, then left him and caught 6th place at mile 8. 5th place was always 30secs ahead but it focused my mind for last 5 (if I could catch him and get 50quid), where I felt strong. Got taken at mile 13 as we entered onto the grass, saw the clock so sprinted to get under 73 but didn't catch him. A new PB on a dullish but flat course and had company to push me.
splits 3mile 16:28, 5mie 27:21, 10mile 55:37. last 5k 17:20 (fastest for a half so pleased). Came 7th.
