Take one pair of old trail shoes, some #8 half inch stainless steel sheet metal screws and a drill fitted with the screwdriver bit adapter and 1 cup of tea. 5 minutes later I\'ve got a set of winter ready screw shoes, bring on the ice. spotted the idea last year on irunfar

For a short 5 mile run they were fine but on a longer run I don't like them as my foot impacts sooner into the ground than expected. In fact found my trail shoes were sufficient on flat surfaces. They were not so on hills. Rab Lee + P.E = ice bugs Am thinking to get a pair for their water proofness. Anyone tried them?
