Started running a few years ago to loose a few excess pounds (ok stones)
after about a year of on/off running i started to enjoy it but struggled with motivation.
last year i got more into it and started doing regular 3 mile runs and the occasional 5 miles. problems with hips made me take a break and again I lost motivation.
January 2011 was when I ran again and loved it, bought a Garmin 305 and signed up for the Manchester Bupa 10k in May, I joined the 500 miles in 2011 group and subscribed to Runners World magazine.... I am officially hooked now, and boring anyone i speak to about my running.
Motivation is sky high, did my first 10k training run on 24th Feb in 58:32 , still need to increase my speed and mileage and loose a bit more weight but im already thinking that a half marathon might be acheiveable soon.... something i never thought possible for me !
