I started running about 3 years ago when I entered the Great South Run. Since then it has become a hobby and a passion, not just exercise, I love it!! What better than to go running when the sun is setting or even go running in the rain; most people give you funny looks but that just makes me smile! Being petite and blonde I am not sure people think I 'have it in me' to run distances and charge up hills but as I have discovered its not how long your legs are, or how big your muscles are, its what's inside that counts!
I have just run my first marathon (Isle of Wight) and apart from the gruelling hills it has me hooked, I want to run more! I sure I didn't think that at mile 24 but as soon as I crossed the finish line I was thinking of what to do next (as well as the glass of champagne that was waiting for me of course -yum!)!
Running is hard and I admire anyone who gets out there and does it, respect to you all!
My little moto: "Life is a test so give of your best and fight with your back to the wall. Never say die, laugh and don't cry and get up again when you fall!"
