About Me
I'm not fast. That's what I always say to people in conversations about running. "Yes, I like running - but I'm really not fast". I figure it doesn't really matter if I keep going - and improve on where I was.

It's not hard to improve on where I started from. I've now lost nearly 6 stone, and exercise at the start just wasn't something I did. Once I'd lost 3 or 4 stone then I started to take an interest in it. When I started running I couldn't run the 0.3 miles to the end of the road. So, you see - it would have been hard *not* to improve.

I'm still slow - but I'm getting better! My last 10k was last November, which I did in 1h14m - without stopping at all (which is what impressed me the most!). I fully intend to knock 4 mins off that - if not more - at the next one. I'll never run (nor understand how others run) a 10k in 30 mins. That's what cars are for. But progress is progress after all. And if there weren't any slow runners, the fast ones wouldn't get to feel fast!
