I never ran before about 2007 and never wanted to. Somehow I was persuaded to try, and so spluttered for 15 minutes or so round a local park a few times. I still hated the idea and then in March 2008 having seen (missed) a friend run Reading Half, in the pub afterwards I drunkenly said I'd join her the year after. Ran a 1hr50 and for the two years since I've been trying to work out how I did it.
