Notes & Comments

Self-Transcendence 10k Race around Battersea Park. Feel good and conditions perfect. Bit nervous as this is only my third 10K, first in a year, and first flat one - not sure how fast to run and how much to leave in the tank.

Went off at a sensible pace but checked my pace around 4 miles as worried that i would blow up. In the end i had energy to spare. Went through 5K in 20:32 which was perfect. Think i could do a 40:45 if i re-ran this having had this experience as i would have run the middle miles a bit harder and i would have been fine.

Happy though (target was 41:30) and very glad not to be doing Flitwick tomorrow - its awful.

Splits:

Great result and you learnt a lot for the next one - finding a flat 10K and godd weather together is harder than running the flipping thing though :)
