Notes & Comments

Perkins Great Eastern Half Marathon. Conditions were terrible - cold, rain and wind against through 7 miles. After that the wind and rain eased off. Really pushed through the first 9 miles to keep on pace, got a stitch in mile 10 but managed to shake it off, then hung on as best i could the last 3 miles. Very happy with today's effort and having done this i know on the right day i can do sub 1:30.

Splits:
1st 6:48
2nd 6:39
3rd 6:39
4th 6:50
5th 6:45
6th 6:51 (very exposed to the wind)
7th 6:54 (very exposed to the wind)
8th 6:49
9th 6:46
10th 7:04 (got stitch)
11th 6:56
12th 7:07 (lost concentration)
13th 6:52

Per Runpix:
1st half: 45:13
2nd half: 45:41

Another positive is that i went through 10 miles in 67:52 (would be a big PB for me as current PB os 69:10).

Training Load 391
Running Index 60

Note - Nick Haworth did very well today - 85 min (wish i had his natural talent). Rob Hemming took it easy.

Very well done! Fab result as it was nasty out there today

Good effort definitely sub 1.30 on a decent day. You would be amazed how far you can get on sheer hard work. People with natural talent often do not use all of what they have been given.
