Bedford Parkrun. MrD paced me round for a sub 20min attempt. Michael Blunt sat in just behind us. Did i do? Almost but no - 20:11. Ran at the right pace but the course is about 75 metres long (need to factor that in next time). However i'm not disappointed. I ran well kept an even pace throughout, smoked Michael Blunt and came 6th overall. I'm now really close and know what i need to do. Next time!!

Splits
1st Km 3:54 - Started well, kept pace in check
2nd Km 4:00 - Mostly down hill, heart rate at top of zone 4 - i could have run 5 secs quicker for this Km (note for next time)
3rd Km 4:05 - Mostly uphill - i couldn't have run this quicker
4th Km 3:58 - Perfect
5th Km 3:55 - Nothing left at the end.

Analysing the results and my heart rate i need to find the 10 seconds in the 2nd and 3rd Km. 5 Secs from the 2nd Km should be easy, 5 secs from the 3rd Km will be hard. Looks like i'll be doing more hill work - John Haines will be pleased!

Side note - i've run a pb everytime i have ran at Bedford Parkrun.
