Notes & Comments

A seriously tough hilly Ipswich Half Marathon. I ran well until mile 10. Legs and feet were ok, but starting to struggle with the breathing after the hills. I also felt as though I had no energy left, but thankyou to one of our coaches who ran the whole way (and nagged me!) to the finish. Complete mental block in the last 3.1 miles and especially in the last half mile, I just hadn't got anything else left to give. A PB though and it leaves me wondering whether I could do better in a flatter half! Managed a good sprint finish even though I didn't think I could run another 400m! 9:46 min/mile ave pace but annoyed I fluffed the last 3.1 miles.
