Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

JW Ultra - Had such a happy head space run, lovley morning and drive down... Last min rush, but all good. First 10 miles past really quickly about 1.38 at first check point, stopped at the 2nd check point for a hug of Elbee and a chat, reached there about 3.37. Still felt fine, having gel every 6 miles and had fizzy orginal lucazade at check point 2. Started to slow a bit and struggle about mile 25 where Lorna past me. Knee was niggling in R, kept going with few fast walk breaks. Then hit the tarmac downhill by post box about 28 miles and had mad cramp, leg just wouldn't work. :-(
It sezied up and just stopped working, very strange, cramping sensation. Couldn't walk, let alone run. Felt very teary and just stopped dead, trying to stretch it... Managed to get walking after a good while of phones calls to JT (Who didn't answer) Luckily, as after a while. I could start to limp. Met a fantastic girl who gave to a tablet thing and after about 5 mins could walk, and eventually jog. 1.5 miles took FUCKIN 34 Mins.

Was just horrible to watch everyone jog past, while I either sat or hobbled the last bit. Very pissed off with my leg!!!! A nice run, got lost at the 44 bridge with Debbo, but soon got back on course. Chuffed overall with how I felt, was eaiser than I thought it might be, just a shame about the cramp.
Please wait... saving your change.
