Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

MALVERN MIDSUMMER MARATHON. Absolutely wonderful day-out in the middle of a great weekend. Met up with Prue and JT at the campsite/pub night before and managed to avoid getting too sozzled, tho JT always comes accompanied by double Baileys!! After a bit of my shambolic organising with Prue, we still managed to meet up on top of the Beacon and run together. Was great, just like the old days, me and Prue chatting and laughing and the miles slipping by. Prue finally stopped at around 11 miles, and I continued alone. I had a great run from here. Too hot to eat much at the halfway checkpoint, I left before all the Malvern Joggers, and managed to hold them off for the rest of the run. I also overtook the other girls, and several groups of blokes and individuals. At 20 miles I felt like I hadn't even started. But as someone said at CP4 (20m), they'd rather run back the way they came than run the last 6 miles. 4800ft total, but at least 3000ft of it is packed into the tail of this race. In retrospect I made far too much effort, trying to hold off the Malvern Joggers and overtake everyone. Delighted with being 1hr40 quicker than last time. But my legs have paid the price. Not sensible 2 weeks before Osmo!
